The Truth About Writing on Newsbreak

The Brad Effect | Brad Ledbetter

In the first few months of writing for NewsBreak, I spent a lot of time recommending it as a platform for my other creator friends looking to branch out from their regular platforms.

Today, not only do I regret that decision, but I wholeheartedly apologize to anyone who has joined at my recommendation and experienced what a horrible platform it has become.

I have so many things I could say, most of those things being the same complaints that our “creator group” is flooded with on a daily basis (believe me, I am not the only contributor that is extremely frustrated with NewsBreak as a content creation platform), but the one that stands out the most is the “throttling” they are doing now, while allowing other accounts to “steal” contributors work and re-title it as something else.

Some of these accounts are called out daily by independent writers, and NewsBreak CSR does NOTHING about it, except the fact that they are believed to be NewsBreak themselves taking contributor accounts and “republishing them” under generic names. It sounds like trying to beat the house in a Vegas casino, right? Why should we even try when the house is actively trying to beat us?

As I said, that is a theory that hasn’t been proven, but it’s hard not to believe it when you complain directly to CSR’s and they do nothing but try to…
